We are a small, home-based TICA registered breeding programme dedicated to raising exceptional British Shorthair kittens with outstanding temperaments, true-to-type features, and strong, healthy bloodlines. Our cats are not raised in kennels or outbuildings; they are part of our family, living alongside us in a warm, loving home where they receive constant care, socialisation, and attention from day one.
Our focus is quality over quantity. Each litter is carefully planned with great consideration given to health, structure, and personality. We work with fully health-tested lines, prioritising conditions such as PKD and HCM, so that every kitten has the very best start in life. We are passionate about preserving the beautiful characteristics of the breed — the plush coat, rounded features, calm nature, and affectionate companionship British Shorthairs are known for.
Raising kittens is not just about breeding; it is about nurturing confident, well-adjusted companions. From early neurological stimulation to everyday household experiences, our kittens are handled with care and intention to ensure they transition seamlessly into their new homes.

How to make an Enquiry
Thank you for your interest in our kittens — we are always delighted to hear from families who share our love for the British Shorthair breed.
We take great care in matching each kitten with the right home, so we kindly ask that all initial enquiries include a little information about you. This helps us ensure our kittens will thrive in their new environment.

A little about your home and lifestyle

Which kitten or colours you are interested in (if applicable)
We are happy to answer questions, discuss availability, and guide you through our reservation process. Our goal is to make the experience transparent, supportive, and enjoyable from the very first conversation.
Please note that reservations are offered on a first-come, first-served basis once availability is confirmed. We do not work with waitlists. Kittens are subject to availability at the time of enquiry.
We aim to respond to all genuine enquiries as promptly as possible, however bare in mind I can be super busy. Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself — we look forward to getting to know you.
How to Reserve Your Kitten
If you would like to secure a kitten, the process is straightforward:
1. I send over a sales agreement for you to review and sign.
2. A reservation deposit is paid via bank transfer.
3. Once received, the kitten is officially reserved in your name.
The deposit ensures serious commitment and allows me to stop advertising the kitten. The remaining balance is due prior to collection.

We understand that choosing a kitten is an exciting and emotional decision, and we are always happy to answer questions and help families feel confident before committing. To keep things fair, clear, and respectful to both our kittens and enquiring families, reservations are confirmed on a first come, first reserved basis.
A kitten can only be secured once a reservation fee has been received.
We are unable to hold kittens based on interest, ongoing discussions, or while decisions are being made.
A sales agreement is signed and only then will I share my banking information for a deposit.
This structure ensures that:
Each kitten has a confirmed, committed home
No kitten is taken off the market unnecessarily & everyone is given a fair chance
The process remains transparent for all families enquiring
We truly value thoughtful homes and welcome conversations before reserving — but once a kitten is reserved, that space is no longer offered to others.

Health & Breeding Commitment
At British Shorthairs, the health, temperament, and long-term wellbeing of our cats are at the heart of every breeding decision we make.
We carefully select and work with strong, established lines from responsible, ethical breeders who share our values for health, type, and temperament. Over the years, we have developed generations of our own breeding lines by retaining and nurturing kittens we believe will strengthen the future of the breed. This allows us to truly know our cats, understand their lineage, and feel confident in the consistency and reliability of the lines we produce.
Health Testing
All breeding cats are appropriately health tested to help reduce the risk of inherited conditions and to ensure we are producing healthy, well-balanced kittens. We breed with a focus on robustness, sound structure, and stable temperaments suitable for loving family homes. We pride ourselves that in 10 years we have never seen or reported PKD HCM or FELV FIV. We do not share our studs with the outside world.
Our Health Guarantee
We provide a 12-month guarantee covering congenital and hereditary conditions. While no breeder can ever promise that a living animal will never experience illness, we stand behind the health of the kittens we raise and are committed to supporting our owners should concerns arise.
FIP Policy
In the unfortunate event that a kitten is diagnosed with Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP), we will offer a replacement kitten. However, we require that owners seek veterinary guidance and begin appropriate treatment promptly. If treatment is declined or not pursued, the health guarantee will be considered void. This policy reflects our commitment to giving every kitten the best possible chance of recovery, as many cases can now be successfully treated when addressed early.
